Westerham-Chartwell Circular

Circular walk around Westerham and Chartwell

Distance: 5 miles
Guide: Westerham and Chartwell

The Route

So this is a really good short walk, starting in Westerham and then doing a loop and going via Chartwell and ending up back in Westerham

The instructions are clear to follow and we did not get lost - Worth noting that on a Sunday car parking in the big car park in Westerham is free

You can stop off at the cafe in Chartwell which is about half way round. Given we did this in Nov we were very luck with the weather it was almost warm - It was also VERY muddy in places (all part of the adventure). When we finished the route we then popped into Quebec House (NT) well worth a visit

Ashurst Circular Walk

Ashurst Circular Walk

Distance: 14.5 Miles
Guide can be found here

Time 7 hours (including Lunch and Coffee breaks)

Starting point is the Ashurst Railway station which has FREE Parking, overcast skies a Northerly wind and the threat of rain - Good day for a hike

Anyway a good route, quite muddy underfoot in places (Well it is nearly the end of October)

Saw 500 Acre Wood, Pooh Car Park, Pooh Bridge, Piglet Tea Rooms, a whole host of Pheasants and a Sparrow Hawk - despite the wind the Sun did come out and it was a glorious day. Its not a hard walk but thoroughly enjoyable

Some pictures below with the odd comment as appropriate

Woldingham Circular

Woldingham Circular

Distance: 11 miles
Guide: Guide Info

My Distance:8.2 Miles
Time - 5 Hrs

Parked in Woldingham Station car park  - Free on Sundays. Not a long route but some big hills, well 3 big hills.
Given its October the 8 its quite bizarre as the Temp was at 18 C (very odd) and an awful lot of green around. Managed to try out my new JetBoil - Worth every penny. Some pictures below - all pretty self explanatory.

If there is a rope ?

How can you not

Are lots of berries a sing of a bad winter ahead ?

Sometime B&W is just as effective
